Football Game Preview: Algonac Muskrats vs. Imlay City Spartans + How To Watch

The Algonac Muskrats will head out on the road to square off against the Imlay City Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Algonac has given up an average of 36 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Algonac is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They lost 46-22 to Almont. While losing is never fun, the Muskrats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while the Raiders are ranked 164th).

Meanwhile, Imlay City didn't have quite enough to beat Yale on Friday and fell 14-12. The Spartans have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Imlay City's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Algonac, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Algonac and Imlay City were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, but Algonac came up empty-handed after a 23-22 loss. Can the Muskrats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
