Churchill had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They really took it to the Wootton Patriots for the full four quarters, racking up a 34-6 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.

Churchill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Noah Zhang, who rushed for 80 yards and three scores. Hunter Humphries was another key passer, throwing for 147 yards and one touchdown.

Churchill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of AJ (Anthony) Wiseman and Nolan McHugh.

Churchill's record now sits at 7-1. As for Wootton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Churchill will host Paint Branch at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 7.9 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Wootton, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Clarksburg at 6:30 p.m.
