Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary's Rams vs. Piedmont Highlanders

The St. Mary's Rams will challenge the Piedmont Highlanders at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in St. Mary's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.

St. Mary's is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They secured a 56-51 W over Priory.

Meanwhile, Piedmont waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-60 victory over the Panthers.

St. Mary's has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points over those games. Piedmont's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-5.

St. Mary's took their victory against Piedmont in their previous meeting back in January of 2015 by a conclusive 85-64. Does St. Mary's have another victory up their sleeve, or will Piedmont turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
