Softball Recap: Metro Tech Has No Trouble Against Central

Metro Tech won the last time they faced Central and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Knights put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 16-6 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven runs or more this season.

Metro Tech got a massive performance out of Joselyn Morales, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those five RBI gave Morales a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Stephanie Hernandez, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Metro Tech kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central only managed nine.

The win made it two in a row for Metro Tech and bumps their season record up to 8-8. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.5 runs over those games. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-17.

The future could be bright for both Metro Tech and Central: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Knights will try to hand Sierra Linda their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Central will look to extend North's six-game losing streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
