Recap: North Star Cougars vs. Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers
This season hasn't been kind to the North Star Cougars, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They were outmatched by Berlin Brothersvalley on the road and fell 78-30. North Star has not had much luck with Berlin Brothersvalley recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
North Star's lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Abby Barnick, who scored 18 points. Barnick scored a full 60% of North Star's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
North Star bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Star will square off against Allegany at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, they will head out on the road to face off against Greensburg Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
