Big Game from Stimpson As Jesuit Fell 58-35

Starting off the list is Jesuit's Joe Stimpson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Stimpson picked up 99 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.

Jesuit's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. Stimpson's next match is against Southridge on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Heath Thompson Dazzles in Westview Victory

Westview found a leader in Heath Thompson as the team took down Beaverton on Friday. Beaverton had no answer to Thompson as he rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.

Unfortunately for Beaverton, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Thompson. Thompson rushed for 154 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry the last time he and the Beavers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Treynor Cleeland Makes It Two for Jesuit

The second Jesuit player making an appearance here is Treynor Cleeland, and for good reason. He threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.2% of his passes.

This season, Cleeland has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 191.8 passing yards per game.

Jayce Strand Delivers Best Performance of Season

Westview was led to victory by Jayce Strand, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Strand picked up two sacks and made seven total tackles.

This year, Strand has averaged 6.6 total tackles per game and for the season has 4 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 0.14 total tackles per game.
