Baseball Recap: Trinity Prep Takes a Loss

Trinity Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 21-20 heartbreaker at the hands of the Covington Academy Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 5-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

J.T. Davis led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Parker Lynn was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Trinity Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Covington Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-8.

Coming up, Trinity Prep will take on Peachtree Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Covington Academy, they will host Young Americans Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
