Softball Recap: Lewis-Palmer Rangers vs. Discovery Canyon Thunder
Lewis-Palmer extended their losing streak to 12 on Monday, dropping them down to 2-14. They came up short against the Discovery Canyon Thunder, falling 23-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 14-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Nicole McClintock was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Joella Streeter was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.
As for Discovery Canyon, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 6-9. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
On Discovery Canyon's side, Taylor McCann was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those four runs gave McCann a new career-high. Kaitlyn Chaumont also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Lewis-Palmer wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-2 defeat against Air Academy on the 24th. As for Discovery Canyon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-7 loss against Palmer Ridge on the 24th.
