Baseball Recap: Midway Comes Up Short

Midway was the 6-5 winner over Princeton when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cameron Register was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Carson Tew and Tanner Williams did some serious damage despite the final result: Tew went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run, while Williams went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Midway now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Princeton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Midway didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 36-1 win against Spring Creek on the 13th. As for Princeton, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-5 defeat against North Johnston on the 13th.
