Softball Recap: Carl Junction Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Carl Junction was feeling good fresh off their 23-2 takedown of Nevada on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the West Plains Zizzers by a score of 5-4 on Thursday.

Ryleigh Palmer made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kady Hunt, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Carl Junction's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for West Plains, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Carl Junction does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Plains, they will head out on the road to square off against Lebanon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
