After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Whitney Young, Richards was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Shepard Astros, sneaking past 6-5. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Astros recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Richards' win bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Shepard, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.

Richards will have a chance to go back-to-back against Shepard: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
