Football Recap: Hodgeman County Starts Season with Win Against South Gray

Hodgeman County took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They blew past the South Gray Rebels, posting a 50-0 victory. The Longhorns have beaten the Rebels the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Rebels has come to flipping the script.

Ian Reece was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 55 yards and three scores, and also picked up 35 receiving yards and one touchdown. Brody Schroeder was another key player, gaining 31 total yards and two touchdowns.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hodgeman County is set to take on their familiar foe Meade at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, South Gray will face off against rival Satanta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
