Holtville's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-33 win over the Calipatria Hornets. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Hornets two weeks ago, they had to take a 54-34 defeat.

Among those leading the charge was Mallorie Kellum, who posted 14 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Melany Estrada, who had six points and 12 boards.

Holtville was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Holtville's record now sits at 8-15. As for Calipatria, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

When Holtville and Calipatria next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Holtville will try to stop Warner's 12-game winning streak when the meet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Calipatria will square off against Brawley and their eight-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
