Basketball Game Preview: Rialto Knights vs. Brentwood School Eagles

The Rialto Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Brentwood School Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Rialto picked up another tournament win back in December of 2024. They took down Clayton Valley Charter 74-59.

Rialto can attribute much of their success to Carrington Davis, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds, and Jackie Polk, who went 10 of 17 on her way to 29 points and four steals. Polk is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Rabino, who posted 18 points.

Rialto smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Brentwood School strolled past Louisville with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 57-42. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Royals are ranked 181st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Brentwood School and bumps their season record up to 9-4. As for Rialto, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
