Manzano kept up with Eldorado until halftime on Saturday, but afterwards: not so much. The Golden Eagles blew past the Monarchs 5-0. Considering Eldorado's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Manzano with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Carter Turcich (2), Michel Pessetto, Adrian Vargas, and Frank Bailey.

Eldorado's victory bumped their record up to 9-5-2. As for Manzano, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Eldorado is set to face off against their familiar foe La Cueva at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Manzano will square off against rival Santa Fe at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
