Volleyball Recap: Piney Woods Comes Up Short

Piney Woods was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the McLaurin Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13, 25-10.

Piney Woods' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for McLaurin, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

Piney Woods wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Taylorsville on the 29th. As for McLaurin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Jefferson Davis County on the 29th.
