Basketball Recap: Frazier Commodores vs. Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers
The Frazier Commodores's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 73-20 defeat at the hands of Chartiers-Houston. Frazier has struggled against the Buccaneers recently, as their match on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Chartiers-Houston's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amelia Brose, who scored 20 points along with six assists and four steals. Brose is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Allison Wingard, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
Frazier has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Chartiers-Houston, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Carmichaels the next time they take the court. Frazier will host the Mighty Mikes at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Buccaneers will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
