Baseball Game Preview: Deering Rams vs. Windham Eagles

The Deering Rams will venture away from home to square off against the Windham Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Deering nor Windham posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Monday, Deering didn't have quite enough to beat Noble and fell 2-1. The Rams have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Liam Brunelle made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Windham came up short against Bonny Eagle on Saturday and fell 5-2.

Windham saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Rulman, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Windham's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Deering, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything went Deering's way against Windham in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Deering made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
