With a playoff win on the line, Dunwoody rose to the challenge  on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Lovejoy  an   8-0 shutout. Dunwoody might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six  runs or more this season.

 At the plate,  Spencer Leftoff was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  John Kosobud, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
Dunwoody pushed their record up to 28-3 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.0 runs over those games.
