Baseball Game Preview: Northbridge Rams vs. Methuen Rangers

The Northbridge Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Methuen Rangers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Northbridge has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 18.

Northbridge fell victim to Uxbridge and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Methuen hadn't done well against Haverhill recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rangers skirted past the Hillies 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rangers.

The result came thanks to Kevin Nestor's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Methuen is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-7 otherwise.

The victory got Methuen back to even at 9-9. As for Northbridge, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
