Softball Recap: Palisade Triumphs

Palisade came out on top against Montezuma-Cortez on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Bulldogs walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Panthers. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Madi Gray was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Joey Donaldson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Palisade now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Montezuma-Cortez, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Palisade wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-1 victory against Mullen on the 6th. As for Montezuma-Cortez, they have also already played their next match, a 10-5 loss against Resurrection Christian on the 6th.
