Soccer Recap: Foothill Takes a Loss

Foothill and Marin Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Foothill had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Marin Academy Wildcats by a score of 5-4. Even if the Falcons couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Foothill has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. Marin Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Foothill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marin Academy, they will challenge Urban at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Urban will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Marin Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
