Dominguez came tearing into Monday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Firebaugh Falcons 29-10. Given the Dons' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 384th, while the Falcons are ranked 1317th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dominguez to victory, but perhaps none more so than ASHLEY CRUZ, who posted seven points and four steals. That's the most steals CRUZ has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of MYA HARRIS, who put up five points in addition to five boards and three blocks.

Dominguez's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points per game. As for Firebaugh, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Dominguez beat Firebaugh by a score of 36-12 on Wednesday.
