Basketball Recap: Interboro Takes a Loss

Interboro lost against Chester on January 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Interboro Buccaneers were beaten by the Chester Clippers 59-24. The Buccaneers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-16.

Despite the loss, Interboro still got an impressive performance from Madilyn Mea, who posted seven points.

Chester got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ja?Mya Muhammad out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. Muhammad is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Imani Dorsey was another key player, going 6 of 10 en route to 18 points and four steals.

Interboro dropped their record down to 1-17 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Chester, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Interboro will take on Chichester at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Interboro is facing Chichester at the right time seeing as Chichester is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Chester, they will face off against Academy Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chester is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season.
