Soccer Recap: Bremen Comes Up Short

After soaring to five goals the game before, Bremen was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Coal City Coalers. While losing is never fun, Bremen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Coal City are ranked 87th).

Bremen's goal came courtesy of Johnathan Lagunas, who's now up to four this season.

Bremen's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Coal City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-1.

Bremen has already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Shepard on the 23rd. As for Coal City, they will be taking part in a tournament against Beecher at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Coal City will need to watch out since Beecher have now posted at least four goals in their last five games.
