Soccer Game Preview: Lakeside vs. Decatur

The Lakeside Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Decatur Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeside is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

On Friday, Lakeside needed a bit of extra time to put away Tri-Cities. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 3-2. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Vikings were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Decatur made sure to put some goals up on the board against Arabia Mountain on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rams a 9-0 shutout. Considering the Bulldogs have won three games by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Arabia Mountain with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from TJ Smith (3), Stefano Porcelli (2), Ignacio Palmieri (2), and Jacob Enfinger (2).

Decatur's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Lakeside, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 5-3.
