Basketball Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Washington's Winning Streak

Washington lost against Miramonte back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Washington Huskies fell just short of the Miramonte Matadors by a score of 35-33. The matchup marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Julia Quinn-Ferguson was a one-woman wrecking crew for Miramonte as she dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Quinn-Ferguson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Robin Parmelee, who posted six points.

Washington (ranked 161st) will meet Kennedy (ranked 545th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Miramonte (ranked 90th) will meet Cornerstone Christian (ranked 438th) at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
