Recap: Jefferson-Morgan Rockets vs. Bentworth Bearcats
The Jefferson-Morgan Rockets lost against the Bentworth Bearcats back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Jefferson-Morgan received a tough blow as they fell 42-26 to Bentworth.
Bentworth can attribute much of their success to Kayla O'dell, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points O'dell has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Amber Sallee, who scored nine points.
Jefferson-Morgan's defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-1. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.2 points per game. As for Bentworth, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson-Morgan will take on Frazier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bentworth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Greene at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (West Greene is ranked 500th, while Bentworth is ranked 520th).
