            Football Recap: Post Antelopes vs. Farwell Steers        
        
		
        
        
            
Post was the  59-6 winner over Farwell when they last played one another  back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Antelopes were just a  hair shy of victory  on Friday and fell  25-24 to the Steers. The  game marked the Antelopes' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 Post lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Draven Gonzales, who picked up 78 receiving yards and two  TDs.  Sean Ramos also helped out with an impressive 95  receiving yards.
 It was another big night for  Coy Miller, who threw for 275 yards and a pair of  touchdowns, and also rushed for 58 yards and two  scores for Farwell. The Steers' leading receiver  Andrae Pullen was  Miller's top target yet again, picking up 111 receiving yards and one  TD.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Post  fell to 4-1. As for Farwell, their win bumped their record up to 3-1-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Post will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Deal at 7:00  p.m.  on October 10. The  contest will  give the Antelopes their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Farwell, they will face off against Friona at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Steers are facing the Chieftans at the right time seeing as the Chieftans are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
