Softball Recap: Hiram Comes Up Short

If Hiram was riding high fresh off their 14-6 takedown of McEachern on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets lost 12-0 to the Cartersville Hurricanes on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in September.

Hiram has also been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Cartersville, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 24-2.

While Hiram had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
