Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Chester's 13th in Last 15 Outings

With a playoff win on the line, Chester rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 57-47 win over the Methacton Warriors. This was payback for the Clippers, who suffered a 76-16 loss the last time these two teams met.

Chester was led to victory by Imani Dorsey and Ja'Mya Muhammad. Dorsey went 6-for-10 on her way to 20 points, while Muhammad went 5-for-8 to rack up 18 points and six boards. Muhammad is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 18 or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Dennis, who posted nine points and five assists.

When it comes to explaining why Methacton lost, don't look at Jenna Kaufman. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Kaufman a new career-high in points. Abby Arnold was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Chester has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points over those games. As for Methacton, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Chester didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-44 loss against Downingtown East on the 19th. Methacton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
