Soccer Game Preview: Brooks County vs. Lanier County

The Brooks County Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Lanier County Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brooks County will be strutting in after a win while Lanier County will be coming in after a defeat.

If Lanier County heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Brooks County took over last week. Brooks County blew past Echols County 7-2 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won seven matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lanier County lost 4-1 to Irwin County on Thursday.

The victory made it two in a row for Brooks County and bumps their season record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those two contests. As for Lanier County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything went Brooks County's way against Lanier County when the teams last played back in February, as Brooks County made off with a 9-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brooks County since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
