Camden County had lost four straight headed into Friday's matchup, but William Jackson didn't let it get to five. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Tift County Blue Devils 24-21 thanks in part to Jackson, who threw for 254 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 31 yards. He has become a key player for Camden County: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 3-4 otherwise.

Tift County lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kamari Holloman, who rushed for 141 yards and a pair of scores. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 103.4 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Dai'Jon Hayes, who picked up 141 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Camden County's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-4. As for Tift County, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
