Softball Recap: Newkirk Starts off Right with Win over Stroud

Newkirk had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They never let Stroud get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Tuesday. This was payback for Newkirk, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newkirk will square off against Bishop Kelley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stroud, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Tonkawa at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
