Softball Recap: Cheyenne Mountain Falls Short Against Ranked Palmer Ridge

Cheyenne Mountain faced Palmer Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Red-Tailed Hawks fell just short of the Bears by a score of 8-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Red-Tailed Hawks in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost four in a row.

Corrine Harlow made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Scism, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Cheyenne Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Palmer Ridge, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-3.

Cheyenne Mountain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Canon City on the 24th. As for Palmer Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-7 win against Discovery Canyon on the 24th.
