Football Game Preview: Border West vs. Underwood Rockets

Border West is a perfect 3-0 against Underwood since September of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Border West will be playing in front of their home fans against Underwood at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Border West has three straight victories, Underwood has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Border West is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Ortonville 56-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Border West's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Ortonville is ranked 52nd).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 54-6, which was the final score in Underwood's tilt against Hillcrest Lutheran Academy/Bermel HomeSchool/Peterson HomeSchool on Friday.

Underwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Border West, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Border West against Underwood in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 51-14 victory. Does Border West have another victory up their sleeve, or will Underwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
