After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Appomattox County, Gretna was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Nelson County Governors. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Governors, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Gretna was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-6, 25-13.

Gretna has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Nelson County, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Gretna is set to face off against their familiar foe Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Nelson County will take on rival Chatham at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
