Football Recap: Metter Comes Up Short

Metter was the 12-6 winner over McIntosh County Academy when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell 18-8 to the Buccaneers on Friday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Earnest McIntosh continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for McIntosh County Academy, rushing for 157 yards and one score. McIntosh is becoming a predictor of the Buccaneers' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Mekhi Jackson also deserves a shout-out for his two TDs.

Metter's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for McIntosh County Academy, the win also got them back to even at 4-4.
