Basketball Recap: Citrus Hill Hawks vs. Liberty Bison
The Citrus Hill Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 48-29 fall against Liberty. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Citrus Hill in their matchups with the Bison: they've now lost four in a row.
Liberty was led to victory by AJ Enguillado and Alex Barajas. Enguillado scored 13 points, while Barajas scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Kelli Harris-Wellman, who scored six points.
Citrus Hill has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Liberty, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.
Citrus Hill will head out on the road to square off against the Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tahquitz presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Hawks in California (the Titans are ranked 555th, while the Hawks are ranked 1223rd). As for Liberty, they will be playing at home against the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Perris focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 38 on Tuesday.
