Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Academy Comes Up Short

St. Mary's Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 63-42 to the Bishop Montgomery Knights. While losing is never fun, the Belles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Knights are ranked sixth).

St. Mary's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Bishop Montgomery, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

St. Mary's Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-45 defeat against St. Anthony on the 4th. Bishop Montgomery does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
