Baseball Game Preview: Turner County Titans vs. Irwin County Indians

Turner County is 0-10 against Irwin County since April of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Turner County Titans will head out to face off against the Irwin County Indians at 5:30 p.m. Turner County will be strutting in after a victory while Irwin County will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with nine defeats in a row, Turner County turned things around against Echols County on Friday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Wildcats.

Turner County let Gavin Lewis and Jacob Wilson run wild. Lewis scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Wilson scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Wilson a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Irwin County's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lanier County on Friday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Irwin County's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Turner County, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 3-10.
