Softball Recap: Montgomery County Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Montgomery County fell victim to Elsberry and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 10-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Wildcats, who until this game were averaging 3.4 runs allowed.

Montgomery County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Hill, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple was Hill's first of the season.

Montgomery County's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-2. As for Elsberry, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-4.

Montgomery County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-4 victory against Owensville on the 9th. As for Elsberry, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Winfield on the 8th.
