Football Game Preview: Omaha Nation Chiefs vs. White River Tigers

The Omaha Nation Chiefs will challenge the White River Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Omaha Nation's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Crow Creek 50-0. The win continues a trend for the Chiefs in their matchups with the Chieftains: they've now won four in a row.

Omaha Nation's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cebastian Cline-Brownrigg led the charge by rushing for 127 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries. Another player making a difference was Dason Romo, who rushed for 56 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Omaha Nation was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 332 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Omaha Nation's defense and their four sacks. Javan Webster was especially locked on to Crow Creek's QB and sacked him twice.

Meanwhile, White River put their dominant defense on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They breezed past Crazy Horse to the tune of 50-0.

Omaha Nation's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for White River, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-1.

Omaha Nation was taken down by White River 36-0 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Chiefs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
