Basketball Recap: Apostles Lutheran Takes a Loss

Apostles Lutheran played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Basis Independent Silicon Valley Bobcats 49-2. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-0.

Hally Zou was Apostles Lutheran's leading scorer, having posted two points. Zou also led the team in rebounds with six.

Apostles Lutheran's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Basis Independent Silicon Valley, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Apostles Lutheran will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hillbrook at 4:00 p.m. on January 10th. Basis Independent Silicon Valley will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Summit Shasta at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th.
