Softball Preview: Twin River Titans vs. Ord Chanticleers

At the plate, JLee Van Driel was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last 13 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Briley Dohmen, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ord). They blew past Polk County 21-12 on Saturday. The Chanticleers not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since September 6th (when they won 19-3).

The team relied heavily on Elle Jess, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Payton Whited, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Ord hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive games.

Twin River's record is now 14-9. As for Ord, their record now sits at 6-22.
