Preview: Granite Bay vs. Woodcreek
The Granite Bay Grizzlies will face off against the Woodcreek Timberwolves at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Granite Bay walked away with it. They never let the Mustangs onto the board and left with a 4-0 win on Saturday.
Granite Bay hit Rodriguez with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
M Newlin,
C Krouse,
E Griffin, and
T Ferguson.
Meanwhile, Woodcreek waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Cordova 9-0. Give Woodcreek's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
Granite Bay's win bumped their record up to 7-5-5. As for Woodcreek, they pushed their record up to 12-2-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Granite Bay took their victory against Woodcreek in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 by a conclusive 4-0. Will Granite Bay repeat their success, or does Woodcreek have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
