While New Creation Christian Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 18-16 victory over the Young Americans Christian Eagles on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Cade Anderson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Robert Bell, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI.

Anderson wasn't the only one working in the hit department: New Creation Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.

New Creation Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Young Americans Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Creation Christian Academy will take on Peoples Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Young Americans Christian, they will square off against Scholars Guild Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
