Soccer Game Preview: Sierra vs. Mendota

The Sierra Chieftains are taking a road trip to square off against the Mendota Aztecs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Sierra's offense. They came up short against Firebaugh back in December of 2024, falling 6-0. That's two games in a row now that the Chieftains have lost by exactly six goals.

Meanwhile, Mendota didn't have quite enough to beat Morro Bay on Friday and fell 4-3. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sierra's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Mendota, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-4.

Sierra might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Mendota in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Sierra avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
