Oak Lawn won against Reavis on Monday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Spartans walked away with a 4-1 win over the Rams. The victory was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on five straight.

Evan Thacker looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jack Dempsey, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jack Reilly, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Oak Lawn's win bumped their record up to 23-10. As for Reavis, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Lawn will head out to square off against Hancock at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Reavis, they are taking a road trip to take on Marian Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
