Softball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is St. Cecilia's 11th in Last 13 Outings

St. Cecilia got themselves on the board against McCook on Thursday, but McCook never followed suit. They blew past the Bison 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Bluehawks, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Kyler Weidner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Head, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

St. Cecilia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McCook only posted a batting average of .143.

St. Cecilia is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for McCook, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-19.

As of now, neither St. Cecilia nor the Bison have any future games scheduled.
